Andrew Tichy will be entering his second full season as “voice of the Beetles”. He is the director of media relations as well as play-by-play broadcaster. Andrew grew up in the small town of Browerville where he graduated with high honors in 2006. He is currently attending Minnesota State University Moorhead as a junior and is majoring in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism. In 2004, Andrew began his broadcasting career as a color commentator for Prairie Conference football on KXDL Radio. After two seasons working as a color commentator and statistician, Andrew took over as play-by-play broadcaster for local high school teams in football, boys and girls basketball, and softball. He has broadcasted games in places such as: the FargoDome (Section Championship Football), Metrodome (State Football), UM Morris (Section Basketball), Williams Arena and the Target Center (Boys and Girls State Basketball) and MSU-Mankato (State Softball).
